Most of the settlement is within the townlands of Aghinlig and Keenaghan,〔(Placenames NI )〕 near the village of Charlemont and just across the River Blackwater, Ulster from Moy, County Tyrone. It is within the Armagh City and District Council area. It had a population of 122 people (42 households) in the 2011 Census. The area is known as "Collegeland" (or "College Land") because it was formerly the property of Trinity College, Dublin. In 1859, the lease of the Collure estate (as it was then known) was inherited at his father's death by John Howard Parnell, an older brother of famed Irish nationalist politician Charles Stewart Parnell.
